Legolaus
For an American-themed show, the song Hymn to the Fallen would be a great ballad. It's from the end of Saving Private Ryan, but I'm not sure of the composer. Didn't Southwind do this in 2000? It's a beautiful piece if its what I am thinking of. Scarryfast
I've thought for quite some time it would be wonderful for Troopers to do music from the movie Dances With Wolves. Talk about right up their alley...

Talk about right up their alley... They mixed the John Dunbar Theme into their show this year. Garry in Vegas

bawker
SCV: Harmonielehre, John Adams. Of course, I chalk this up to my annual off season Adams binge where I pretty much go through the entirety of "Earbox" about five times or so. Still, though . . . SCV, Harmonielehre, plzthxbye. Matt_S
That's not a bad binge to be on! I probably disagree that Harmonielehre would translate well to the field, but maybe. I'd rather see SCV tackle the First Movement from Century Rolls. Heck, use Lollapalooza and Slonimsky's Earbox from that same "Century Rolls" album release. There are a lot of great drum corps moments on that disc.

Dir_en_X
Mirrorthrone, probably off his album Gangrene. So Frail or No One By My Side would be my choice. And it would be the darkest show in DCI history.
