One of the longest-running shows in drum corps history, the annual Drum Corps Grand Prix at the iconic Clifton Stadium venue. Huge lineup. Seven corps competing... and at last check, there were six corps scheduled in exhibition. Bring money for food. The Long Island Sunrisers get into the mix Saturday... joining Caballeros, Buccaneers, Fusion Core, Cadets2, Bushwackers, and Hurricanes. All sorts of possibilities here. Still remember leaving Prelims at Allentown the year I parked in front of the supermarket front of the stadium. Throw stuff in the trunk and look up just in time to see a guy pull out of his parking slot and get side swiped. Chrome strips flying in the air, swear words, blocking the street to "discuss" it, etc, etc. I ducked down, slid in the drivers seat and told my sister "we didn't see ####: as I pulled U turn and got the Hades out of there..... Also the year I pulled in the supermarkets lot and guy sitting in the bed of a pickup said real happy like "Here for the show?" When I said yeah it was "Well you can't park here. MOVE IT!!". I thanked My Hyde (since Dr Jeckyll had left).. and then parked right in front of him on the street. Lot to see at a corps show... some of it on the field... With less available parking than ever before over there, I would think multiple spots have potential for that. There was an area many people parked in they will not have access to as it as been turned into on street parallel parking. If they hop that curb to jam their cars in, the ending will not be good.
