xandandl
Word from Trooperland is that the corps will livestream its annual tribute to Jim Jones on Friday, June 11, from their spring training site in Indiana. Jones was laid to rest on June 11, 1994, in Casper. Each June 11, at 11 a.m. Mountain Time, the corps takes a break from rehearsal and assembles, faces toward Casper and plays the "Battle Hymn" chorale. It is a brass-only presentation, with the color guard and percussion sections attending. At least, that's the way the corps has presented it in previous years. The presentation is scheduled to be livestreamed via the Troopers' main Facebook page. The stream will begin at 10:55 a.m. Casper time. That's 12:55 p.m. Eastern. EDIT: Times corrected. Please clarify and correct. Friday is June 10th, Saturday is June 11th.

xandandl
Cool stuff from the Troopers! How does this kid have time to march? Real Life Troop Hero Best of everything to people like Mr. Hayne. In his article, the corps clarified: The 2016 production, titled “Hero,” is a celebration of the first responders who risk themselves to help others, of the soldiers on the battlefield, and of the loved ones close to us who quietly battle disease. “Hero” is an emotional performance powerhouse..."
