Liahona
Boo's Blog...earlier tonight live reactions... ----------------- Michael Boo The show is more about the pop culture of witches and witch hunts. The corps has an entirely new design staff. --------------- Michael Boo Corps in a giant inverted pentagram. --------------- Steve Jessup They use their tall plumes to great effect, dipping their heads every which way. --------------- Michael Boo “Moonlight Sonata” sets up young kids doing things they weren’t supposed to do at night. The innocence of youth is challenged by the scene in the woods, where things happen. --------------- Steve Jessup Various young ladies are being accused of witchcraft: "it was her", "she did it". ---------------- Michael Boo People are now whispering about one another, and nothing good will come of it as it leads to accusations. The bright orange flags are emblazoned with black images of the honked off crowds. ------------------- Steve Jessup The flags have reversed the color scheme: the flames are black and the sky is orange. ------------------- Steve Jessup Then again, looking at the flags upside down, the flames are orange and the sky is black. Perhaps a statement that it's all about perspective? ------------------- Michael Boo This corps picked up some great instructors after last season and it shows big-time. ------------------- Steve Jessup Now I see more clearly that they're actually silhouettes of people. --------------------- Michael Boo "Yeah, I called you a witch. Whatcha gonna do about it?" -------------------- Steve Jessup How would you describe this hornline, Mike? It may be their strongest ever. -------------------- Michael Boo I believe so, Steve; even stronger than 2000 when they played "Time to Say Goodbye." --------------------- Steve Jessup This drumline is no slouch, either. ------------------------ Michael Boo I'm not sure how the appearance of the bright purple flags makes me feel. They're introduced at a moment of great anger and purple is typically more of a color of sanctity. However, the show is about society going mad, and so conflicting feelings about what's going on out there should be expected. ----------------- Steve Jessup The pit reprises Moonlight Sonata as the names of the guilty are rattled off. The corps spells out GUILTY. ---------------- Michael Boo Another full corps inverted pentagram. and then the piece de resistance, the awesome flaming bonfire witch burning. ---------------- Michael Boo Many have asked about the chemicals used for the smoke. The smoke is from a fog machine with special chemicals that instantly dissipate in the air and doesn’t settle back down. ---------------

The two-syllable word you couldn't make out is probably "monster". And there's one more word I can't make out at the moment of that assault. They say "Boston" at one point.

I saw that too, I thought this new system was supposed to prevent this. It seems more opinionated than ever!!!

The town of Geseke is famous for its witch trials in the 17th century. The nickname of the town is Hexen-Geseke. Hexen in German means Witches btw... hexen intransitive verb to practise (Brit) or practice (US) witchcraft ⇒ er kann hexen he knows (how to work) black magic Philological post deserves praise.
