I have no need or interest in doing so. Like I said, I completely understand both sides of the coin and furthermore am thankful that such regulations are in place to protect creative works. cowtown
This banning people from rehearsal is beyond silly, I hope they do it. Good ahead, treat your fans that way. We’ve seen this sort of thing from Crown before, G’ah. Anytime anyone posts or uploads a drum corps video, it’s a copyright violation so let’s ban all drum corps shows !!! it's just band, Crown
MPutnam
I enjoy watching Crown rehearse at GW. It is a short (20 minute) drive from my house. I have never felt offended or slighted by being asked to not video said rehearsal. I am glad they allow the public in to watch. It's just plain old good manners. You are at their house, they are allowing you in free of charge to enjoy their product, they make one simple request - you honor it. On a side note... I have been a member on this site since 2003 and I am still a rookie... Edited June 9, 2017 by MPutnam

DasTuba
I don't understand why people are offended or upset honestly. What is so hard about respecting their wishes? If they ask you not to record, then don't.... It should be that simple. They are allowing you to watch free of charge!

That's something I'm trying to avoid as a parent to a 7 year old and a 1 year old. I'm trying my best to avoid them getting a sense of entitlement. I've noticed that sense of entitlement more and more over the last few years when I get new kids in the military making it extremely difficult to teach and train them in a military setting and it drives me nuts! palmettomello
The corps' social media admins periscoped a different sectional each week last year in ST, really wishing they were doing that this year. But seeing how tight lipped its been, assuming that's not going to happen. Guessing we won't get a real look from them and a full show title/explanation until their preview show. They turned out a solid crowd last year at Nation Ford HS. Any details about when and where the preview show will be this season?
