La Crosse, WI - July 2, 2017

I could write a review of tonight's show, but I could sum up Bloo like this: speedy cleaners. They are cleaning the #### out of this show at an incredible pace. It's freaking July 2nd!

He sounded like he was enjoying himself...I got a real chuckle when I heard him say at the end of Bluecoats show..."I hope that #### poppycock likes this"....hahahaha

I caught that, too... Cracked me up

My opinion only has changed with regards to the Cadets. That's it. And I never waffled. I hated the design, said I was wrong, and like it (a lot). Nothing wrong with admitting you're wrong.

Admitting you're wrong is saying "I am smarter today than I was yesterday."

Not a bad line-up in La Crosse 40 years ago.

June 24, 1977

  1. Blue Devils  -  79.75
  2. Santa Clara Vanguard  -  75.50
  3. Madison Scouts  -  71.00
  4. Blue Stars  -  69.90
  5. Troopers  -  60.40

Imagine the western corps coming to the Midwest in June. Later that summer the Blue Stars went out to California.

Probably had a full panel of judges, too.

1 Bluecoats 76.900
2 The Cavaliers 74.800
3 Boston Crusaders 71.400
4 Blue Stars 69.900
5 Madison Scouts 69.600
6 Troopers 63.500

And 51.100 for Legends, a weaker start for them than 2016, although last year on this date, they had dropped from their initial scores and got a 49.800.

I didn't want him to periscope at all.  I wanted him to watch the shows.

I'll take it up with him the next time that Francois Truffaut urge comes over him.

There's some good music in Truffaut films that I'd like to see corps tackle.

If last year is any indication it'll take a little bit for them to get going but once they do I'm expecting them to do well.
