Kmcglauchlen
Man, that's a huge, impressive, and incredibly ambitious corps for their age and only their second season. VERY impressive! They are HS age only. When they transitioned from a HS band last year to DC the agreement with the School District was no member can be older than a graduating senior and 50 percent of the Crops must be from Oregon High School in Oregon, WI. Drumline has always been a powerhouse for more than 30 years in the HS Summer Season. My son aged out last year and moved to OC this year as a snare player and we live in MN and he made the drive as that is my HS from when I was growing up. They lost a snare Sat night due to a car accident and he broke his leg. posted from the DrumScorps app

RetiredMusTeach
I want to go on record as saying that starting with Southwind and now after seeing Guardians, I have a strong sense that The South is Rising Again, but in a joyful and beautiful way. WOWEEE! I am so impressed!

Gotta say, though that - for me, anyway - imitating Kanye (and all he and his part of the industry does) on a drum corps field is stretching it a bit. Certainly looked like the members were having a good time.

There's a legitimate sample from a Kanye song in every piece... He really does produce some pretty great tracks though.

MikeN
I never had much to do with Kanye before this show, but yeah - he does some good stuff behind the words. Mike
