DCI-86
I think it they want to be competitive next year they need to go down the ‘themed costume to show route’. The old uniform makes body movement restictive and looks forced and silly. Imagine this year’s SCV (regardless if you like this year’s costume or not) in their traditional uniform with Aussies - it wouldn’t work. mikekhs
Have to admit it...I yelled "Z Pull" and then pretty much wept for the balance of the show. What they have been through coupled with the fact that it is the Cadets - it seemed natural. Garfield! Mike

Cavies seem to make their uniform (sort of) work through their show. Personally, I just think it's the concept of the show that will dictate if they need to go with a themed-costume route. I guess we will see.

Yeah... for instance, Toy Souldier (regardless of how you felt about the show) used the uniform perfectly, imo.

I did my crying over the show at Annapolis, so it didn't quite get me there, but man did I get chills!!!

I noticed they do participate for about 1 minute of the show so assume that can’t be an alternate, right? I rewatched it and it appears it was a drum major that went behind the concert bass drum in the pit and put the old uniform on over her (?) regular uniform. I assume you are referring to the person who appears in the end. Edited August 11, 2018 by PeterGibbons
