The Cavaliers 2018, 70 years of excellence

Recommended Posts

After checking out the first 8:45 or something along those lines of the show, I am blown away by this edition of the corps. Yes, they have more on the field than 8:45, but that was what they ran.

Percussion and brass are VERY strong. Guard is too, but it is hard to judge that caption. Lots of features, unison work, and tosses.

Percussion is featured extensively during the beginning of the show, and throughout. Man those snares really grab me, but the tenors, basses, and especially pit are featured throughout the show too. Hard to explain really. Snares got some exciting  things  going on in the show, and pit is just crushing it.

Brass has the hardest book I've heard from them in a while and maybe ever. I cannot wait to hear feedback from other people on how much this part of their program has improved. The tweaks they have made to the show music during Spring Training make everything so clear now.  I enjoy all the brass solo's and solis. There's a special one that really gets me near the latter part of the show.

Guard is like last year, but maybe more intense. It's hard to get the effect with practice flags, but they'll be elite.

Lots of cool things already added even in just a week since I saw what they were up to.

This show is going to be something special come August. I am sure of that.

No idea with placement with everyone in their sphere of competition seeming to have a wonderful winter, but there isn't a ceiling with this show. Everything needed to score well if they execute.

Alumni are going to be very proud of this corps, and wow is it creative! I'm sure the Madness will become clear later...

Not does this post really hype me up as I am enduring an annoying day at work, but it makes me extremely excited to what we can learn about this show/corps. Honestly.... it is hyping me up to finish my music degree. Can not wait to see what I can learn! Wooooo!

I am so freaking excited to see them.  Up to the first show of the year (drum corps in general) I feel like a little kid waiting for  Christmas morning. I thot they were great last year; with even stronger brass; just makes me more excited.

Must be fun marching on that field.

Prob better than Streator, Illinois. One of the all time worst DCM fields.
