Fran Haring
Lots of great Spirit shows... but I gotta go with 1980. That knock-a-wall-down sound from the horn line, especially in the opening statement. Breathtaking.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, :) but I seem to recall checking once a few years ago, and 1980s .8 was the narrowest gap between 1st and 4th at DCI championships. That was an incredibly tight year.

ThePlanets
Happy Halloween and thanks for your responses! Looks like so far 1980 is the most popular show but 2012 got a lot of votes too. 2013 and 1985 getting some love too. Please feel free to keep posting your thoughts here! MikeN
Oh, man - Ghost Train was awesome! So was Darkness Into Light (2002) - they both felt like grown up Southern themes, in a way. Mike
queenanne_1536
1986. They were SO good that year. Mid-season, I thought they could potentially finish 3rd. Unfortunately, for them, Cavaliers and Suncoast Sound were also great, and Garfield got it together at the right time, to push Atlanta to 6th.
