mingusmonk Posted July 10, 2022 Share Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) I haven't seen there there rule book in a long time but they certainly still have timing penalties. Most organizations have a cap on the maximum for a timing penalty. For example , WGI has a maximum of 10 points for going over time. If DCI does not have a maximum timing penalty, you could just write it so long that you zero ot or go negative! Orwellian Wiress Posted July 10, 2022 Author Share Posted July 10, 2022 Alright, here's what I got so far: - Arrives 10 minutes late - Equipment pulled by elephants - Color guard enters on ride-on lawnmowers -Hornline hops the stadium fence to run on the field -The drill begins with a can-can kickline where every cone is kicked at the same time - Front ensemble collects cones, autographs them, throws into crowd - Drumline enters through stadium seating to bring new cones - Color guard runs over cones with lawnmowers - The cymbal line has been holding their cymbals together this whole time. Now, they open them and release exactly 53 doves in the air - The main prop is a giant box supported by 4 legs, with a rope in the middle of it. The rope is pulled by a guard member and copious amounts of Gold Bond and baby powder are released on the field - In each corner of the field is a four-sided cube prop. Each side has exactly 288 pounds of Chinese firecrackers attached to it. They are lit by the trumpet soloist, who quickly lights each, ducks in the middle, and plays their solo - Show ends with a Disneyland-level fireworks show I'm open to edits or suggestions. With the use of props today, a show based on Verdi’s “Aida” with live elephants for the Triumphal March would be amazing. Or imagine someone recreating Star or Bridgemen’s circus shows with live dancing bears and lion tamers. The PETA protests would give DCI free publicity.
