lawdn
Every year I go through withdrawal when the season ends. If you do too, what do you do for it? One benefit of having paid for 2 months of Flo is I can listen to Flo Radio for a few weeks and it brings up nice memories of earlier seasons or I hear a show I never heard before. Just heard “Tilt”, “Avian”, and others. I heard the “The Great Event”. and wow it reminded me how much that middle 2010s Blue Knights era was special. Luckily football season is starting. That always helps dealing with the DCI off-season. Between NFL and college football, I am good till February lol. Go Niners! In Brock Purdy we trust! 5
craiga
For me, it is a gentle letdown because I am deep in the weeds of drill design right now. My band camp begins this coming Monday, and it is my 45th year of doing this. Back in the 70s and 80s, it was done on essentially glorified graph paper. About 25 years ago, PYWARE was developed, and now we also use an app called UDB to actually teach the show. No more dot books! 😀
keystone3ply
As @Chief Guns stated, college & pro football. @craiga, Since semi-retiring, no more HS band responsibilities; just some less stressful school duties. But the withdrawal is real. I'm ready to go back to Indy!
MarkHornGA
If you haven’t watched the 2000 Cadets and Cavies showdown in a while, I HIGHLY recommend it. Just watched and man those were some ballsy corps. 2

Must be their screamers. 😏

Metalbinky
I usually listen to my favorite drum corps on the way to and from work, and that’s enough drum corps for me. This year son #4 is starting high school marching band as a freshman, while son #3 is starting his first positions as a visual tech for 2 high schools so I’ll be watching plenty of marching band stuff until December/January rolls around and I get to tag along with my kid as he begins his preseason stuff at his corps. I’m also preoccupied scoping out the staff changes at each corps…that’s a yearly exercise for me. I’m such a drum corps geek
