PR_ducky
mhm. and what show from the 2000's would you put Troop and Suncoast in?I was thinking about eliminating Star 93, and replacing Star 90... and maybe Cavies 95, with Cavies 91. ~>conner well, since we have opened this can of worms: I would replace Garfield 84 with Garfield 87 Star 93 with Star 92 Bridgemen 80 with Bridgemen 77 BD 79 with BD 94 SCV 99 with SCV 85 as for the 2000 I don't really care. All the top corps were used in the 70/80/90, bottom 6 corps are all thats left to choose from for 2000s, just have to live with it I think that evens things out with regard to 2-4-4-
overthehillDM
I tend to judge most performances based on the hornline.....for some reason the 80 Bridgemen was not as clean or in your face as much as 78.....the Bridgemen were just coming out of their disqualification year and they were absolutely changed...the way they handled Ritual Fire Dance and started in that arch in center front field will be imbedded in my mind forever....I hope the 78 performance one day makes it to the Classic Countdown B) Hey Felix! I agree. The 78 hornline was better, but the show was VERY different, musically, from the 80 show. If you compare 77 and 78, you will see that our staff did a "180" on the whole approach, stylistically. 1980's show was sort of a combination of both styles, and the net result was a drum line championship, and a near championship for the entire corps! I also hope that the 78 Bridgemen will one day make it to the Classic Countdown! To everyone that voted for the 80 Bridgemen in this year's Classic Countdown: A collective THANK YOU! from all members of the Bridgemen family, past, and present!!! It is truly an honor to be selected, and we are thrilled to be included with all of the other magnificent drum corps that were chosen for this very special event!!! jayboe172
I'm surprised some of my votes actually made the countdown...still wanted to see 87' Cadets on there...but 84' is just fine. 88' Madison will take the roof off the theater!!! Crown 04' was the shock to me though...no complaints here...should be an enjoyable countdown! :D

rut-roh
I actually think this is a much better selection overall than last year's Countdown. Even though most of the corps I voted for didn't make the cut, I really like all of the shows selected. It will be a great night of viewing, and more importantly, gathering with friends for a good old fashioned night of drum corps watching! denverjohn
I wonder if they will be shown chronologically as was done last year. Perhaps they will be shown in order of votes received per show. I would like to see another "runoff" vote in order to determine the order of appearance from among the 12 decided shows. dcifan2002
mhm. and what show from the 2000's would you put Troop and Suncoast in?~>conner good point. ok CROWN and the singers OUT !! spirit 2003 IN. or BOSTON 2003 BLUECOATS OUT !!--Dont get me wrong. BC were good in 2005 but not classic countdown outragous DC. these 2 do not match up against the other classic must see drum corps on the list. M.O. Glassmen 2000 IN. or Blue knights 2000 IN . How about a non top 12 .corps Southwind 2000 ?
