jonz311
I believe they had that type of finish in '04'07 was a simple dark red finish with a slight gold sparkle. '06 was a black drum with a slight gold sparkle '05 was blue that included flakes of real glass to give it a sparkle finish (the '06 and '07 drums may have used real glass as well but I'm not sure. I know for a fact the '05 drums did) '04 was the chameleon pain in a red tint. '03 was still on Pearl so the BASF custom finishes didn't start until '04. i don't know if it was done by basf, but weren't the gold drums in 98-99 also painted by a donor to the corps? LuvsPAisTe
I'll get to see what the deal is with Academy's Mapex at Stanford. Here's a short video of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTSvit_FBLU
BigSnareline
Here's a short video of them: Not bad looking - how do they sound?
LuvsPAisTe
Not bad looking - how do they sound? Well, for marching ten snares, they were none too loud. Not sure if that's the drums, the staging, the tuning or the players. The six tenors were nice.

No, that was a finish given to us straight from Yamaha. I couldn't tell you what the name of the color was.
Huntington Mallets
You can't even post a video of what a corps drums look like on here? Really? (This isn't directed at the mods or admins on DCP, more of the Administrations of other corps and the heads of DCI)
LuvsPAisTe
I apologize to DCP. I wasn't aware I broke any rule.
BigSnareline
I apologize to DCP. I wasn't aware I broke any rule. Yes, it's getting ridiculous. Your youtube link did not violate the rules.

BigSnareline
Youtube policy:http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...showtopic=99044 Thanks, Mike OK - this video did not show the corps performing - not even in the lot. It showed drums sitting on stands. That does not violate anyone's copyright.
