Remove the visual from the equation...and yea...alot of corps do sound alike due to music choice or music arrangement (at least to me)....If you played all of the corps mentioned above...without knowing ahead of time who they were...it might be a challenge to assign music to corps correctly..I think...in alot of cases, it's the visual that creates the difference, not the music...not that that has anything to do with the topic of this thread...

2003...all around great shows from top to bottom (Cadets and Phantom were my favorite)...And don't forget to get Div. III and the Lehigh Valley Knights...one of their best years...and my daughter was in the guard...

Not to highjack the thread....I've loved the 73 Argonne Rebels musically for a very long time...I had no idea their drill design was so asymmetrical. I am amazed...and yet everyone credits SCV for starting that trend...hhhmmm...

Would this mean that DCI is it's own "customer"...the sole purpose is to satisfy DCI?...and the fans have no real role except to make DCI happy?

Our local winter circuit did this several years ago(at least 5)..it lasted a few years, but never really took off...I'm curious to see where all this ends up..

That was a classic drum corps moment(s)...that I will always remember fondly...they came back to perform again...with a vengeance...

and this brings up a totally irrelevant and inane question...do you think Crown would have won in 2013 had they done the exact same show but in the cream uniforms? (Personally..I liked the purple uniforms, but found them very hard to see on the field..)

and yet....I just checked my account on the DCI Store...and now I have NO orders in my order history...it was there two days ago..sent DCI an e-mail...this could be good, or bad news...

I received an e-mail the other day charging me for shipping ($13.50)...then went back to my pre-order receipt and saw that shipping was, in fact, not included in thew original purchase. Not sure if this shipping charge means I shipped or not.....according to my DCI account, my order is still :in process"....In the past I've received the DVDs before (but reallly close to) Thanksgiving...

Crown...I liked all the way around (although I've liked their drill design from some older years better...and I think their guard was lost this year).. BD..I really liked their visual package, but couldn't watch with the sound on..that just ruined it for me..I just don't enjoy the dissonance and choppiness...but visually...like I said...they did some pretty good stuff,...

Yea...I can see that becoming a show t-shirt...I can't make it out on the computer, but I'm guessing that's "The Raven" poem printed on the shirt? Love shirts like that!

Similar to WGI...this would be great...something I've wanted for a long time...but I think DCI was approached about it several years ago, and considered it too costly to do all that customization. If we'rew on Fan Network...can we purchase shows and create our own DVDs that way?

I wasn't the biggest fan of narration..although I did find the individual members contributions to be interesting. This was a show that had to grow on me over the summer...and when Finals came about, I felt it most certainly deserved to win. That last performance was what you would expect from the Cadets...like it or not, that performance was awesome...I don't watch the DVD alot, but I do remember that night frequently...and still feel it was an incredible performance...

A while back, Santa Clara sold a v-neck grey t-shirt with a big red "Vanguard" across the chest...nothing else....I have been mistaken for working at an investment firm many many times...

well..one person's opinion...FWIW...I've done Scranton, Rochester and Annapolis..(and Allentown if you count performing) I can do without Scranton..it was ok, but not great.. Rochester...love the stadium, hate the town..I have never had an easy time driving to or from the stadium...roads always closed off,,,detours.,..just not likin' it, and will not go back ...I've already planned to purchase the stream instead. Plus I've run out of enjoyable things do during the down time. Annapolis...LOVED it...the town, the stadium, the people...nothing I didn't like about it..except the handicapped parking is most definitely NOT in the right place in reference to the stadium. I would go every year if Finals were there...My wife and I make it a mini vacation and we love it...

Anybody know the detailed schedule for tonight?
