Phantom and the Mandarins should finish above the Cadets. The Mandarins have more demand, more depth, better design, better Guard, better hornline. Phantom has a better show design, better hornline, better guard. Both Cadets and Phantom have less simultaneous and environmental demands than the Mandarins (credit to Cadets last min for demand though). It is going to be tight....just my 2 cents.

BAC's horns haven't sparkled all year!! Once they fix those Mellos...maybe.

The BAC hornline should be mid box 4 at best. Guard is steller!!

I do not think it will happen. Boston will level out around Atlanta if not before. Not enough effect to score a 97 IMO. GREAT guard!!! Visual could improve once it is achieved, but the effect just isn't as good as last year. The brass line can't get there with a Mello line that can't play in tune on these new horns. Bluecoats have the effect and caption strength to get there. Crown plays all ranges of dynamics beautifully and the guard expresses it very well. BD is a lock for the Gold! That is the best hornline BD has had ever!! The guard is great, show design is great, and drums will be top 3. This is an exciting year for sure. Just my 2 cents. Additionally, I am excited to see Phantom rise again. They are sounding great!! DCI is best when they are doing great!! And the Mandarins have the show design, the support, the caption strength, and the vibes to push into the top 6 or 7. That is another historical aspect of this as well!

Thoughts so far: I really like the Mandarins these past few years. Great to see!! BD: I hope the violinist tunes his axe for this show. That was hard to listen to last night. Horns sound great! SCV: Love it!!! ...not as demanding of a show as BD and The Cavaliers. The Cavaliers: WOW! I can see you guys pedaling if not winning. That is a hard show and it is already being handled well. Phantom's show is just blah to me. I usually like them, but I can see Blue Stars or Boston beating them by finals.

Omg...just watched the Cavaliers rehearse and that new visual ending is way better than what they had early season. Chill bumps!!! They should start climbing. Hoping that everyone has their best show yet....now to the dome!

I bet some corps perform their major changes today so the kids get some live reps before San Antonio.
