  1. 1996 Celtic Twilight 1999 Greensleeves 2015 Exodus: Divide the Sea Unite the People
  2. We may never know - but I was asking myself the same question.
  3. I like this thread. Let's get it back on the front page.
  4. It would make little to no sense financially for Pioneer to return to open class - if anything it would lower recruitment numbers. It is clear that corps like Legends, Music City and even River City Rhythm are starting to win the dinner table battle for students who have the money to tour. The years when Pio was most successful at recruitment were years that they had staff dedicated to engaging/retaining new and veteran members to adapt to the somewhat fluctuating programming styles i.e. Broadway, Irish, Celebrate?, Church music, Joan of Arc, etc. Hats off to the design team for the product they put together this year - I thought it was an enjoyable show that allowed the students to grab ahold and tell a great story.
  5. The fundraising link provided was linked to PayPal but for some reason every time I got to the processing screen there was an error. Either way - it helps Pio! As a FMM of Pio, I thank you!
  6. Since the Chuffed site was being difficult when paying through PayPal, I went directly to the pioneer website and donated through paypal (less fees). It should be noted that Pioneer has been touring for years rarely asking for money (some corps are better at that than others). Each year they have asked, I have given because I know that they stretch every dollar as far as they (Roman) can. As much as we can do to sustain corps through donations, the better. https://pioneer-corps.org/contribute/make-a-donation.html
  7. Looks like they are around 40 horns, I think they wrote for 50ish so it looks like some holes will need to be filled.
  8. Interesting to see corps members wearing Suncoast jackets. 1990 was an interesting time for drum corps in Florida indeed.
  9. Woops. glad I didn't go into accounting. 21 still seems young to me.
  10. Check your math - does that mean he was also the youngest Brass Caption Head in 2001 @ 14? Quite a prodigy this guy is.

  12. This is a great resource. http://www.visitindy.com/indianapolis-where-to-eat#loadedpage=1 A ton of new breweries/distilleries have been opened since 2014. Definitely worth a visit - less than a mile from the stadium with easy access using the bikeshare. http://www.visitindy.com/indianapolis-repeal-restaurant http://www.visitindy.com/indianapolis-st-joseph-brewery-public-house http://www.visitindy.com/indianapolis-hotel-tango-artisan-distillery
  13. I didn't even think about that, we haven't made the jump to BluRay.
  14. The lesson here? Buy the hard copy products - CDs/DVDs while you can. Don't build your world on rented space (the internet).
  15. Great positive post, Two great corps! BUMP
  16. Go Pioneer! One week til their first competitive show in O'Fallon, IL, until then - it's all speculation but I'm excited to see the growth of the corps, there is a cool energy at the Good Land right now.
  17. I thought I heard a little snippet from 99 Voices show in there - right around 3:15 - Love it!
  18. Not to mention a talented pool of local students.
  19. Not to discount the work of 7th Regiment, they are truly a good corps and have been solid for a number of years with from what I recall a very consistent staff. I realize these groups are on the same sheets now, but are open class groups that are placing in this range performing "full" shows?
