  1. Just did a quick check on the seating map: in both section 3 and 4 there are lots of available seat numbers in the teens in rows EE, FF, GG, HH which are very nice from a vertical stand point and will get you in the 35-40 yd range (the roof line starts around row DD if that sways your decision at all). If I were going (work travel sucks sometimes) I would pick left of the 50 facing the field - that's the side i've always sat on, right around the rows I mentioned, and they're great seats.
  2. For some reason that link isn't working right...try this... http://www.timkylephotography.com/scv-2014-sa/ Edit: Mike beat me to it...
  3. From what I gathered here on the forum, the show was a little short on time prior to the new ending...
  4. Love your last sentence.... So hoping I could have seen this in person this year....
  5. ...and i just found out i will be traveling for work the night of the Massillon show...
  6. Maybe the earlier-performing corps should fire up their pit and practice in the lot while the later-performing corps are on to provide that added "ambiance" that the earlier-performing corps enjoyed...
  7. An honest question: at what audio quality (kbps) are the Audio Performance Download files available?
  8. This post has malaPROPism potential aplenty...
  9. Akron Massillon (work BETTER not schedule me on a road trip ) Quarterfinals at the theater
  10. Rumor: SCV's panels last year were really Magnepan 20.7 panel speakers :)
  11. I also question why (if they actually are) the pit warms up amplified - it certainly seemed that way with as loud as they sounded.
  12. 1978 SCV: During "If You Believe" from The Wiz, just before the big push, the guard members click their heels 3 times (a la Dorothy)... 2014 Bluecoats: When the hornline isn't playing, the members have their horns "tilted" from vertical to go along with the show theme...
  13. Interesting...I was sitting about the same height but right side between the 35 and 40 and the euph solo sounded so loud I thought it was being doubled by the synth... I will say this has a lot of the look and feel of a classic Cavies show
  14. Personally I "ENJOYED" it the most of any show last night...how that parallels what the judging panels will say over the season...
  15. When not playing, the horn line has their horns "tilted" off vertical...
  16. From tonight in Akron. Pre-change: Post-change:
  17. Not just Bluecoats, but it didn't seem as pervasive as the past couple years, but it was definitely noticeable in several corps. Wasn't singling out Bluecoats, I just noticed it more during their show.
  18. There were several moments in several of the shows where the Goo was vibrating the seats. Too much, staff, these horn lines don't need to be doubled.
