  1. I've had quite a few issues, but by god the audio is fabulous! Wish I could use an iOS device and stream to my big screen tv, but on a laptop the feed (both audio and video) is excellent. Did I mention how great the audio is.... Z
  2. Chat said sync issues only occur on videos they were provided...not on the live feed? I just logged on and switching to high camera fixed the lag. Z
  3. So if there is no playback after a live event and I cannot watch on my iPad or iPhone (only available devices) can I get a refund? I know no one on here knows the answer...just a rhetorical question. Z
  4. No dice on iPad or iPhone. Anyone else out there having any luck??? Z
  5. Same here. I use the downcast app and it is not pulling up the two preview podcasts. I'm guessing it has something to do with the launch of the New website.
  6. I am not a Cadets fan, but I am obsessed with watching Hops broadcasts on periscope. You have to give props when they are due, and George gets HUGE props on this one. So now...who will be the next corps to periscope something before the season starts? Z
  7. I do not think any business (non profit or for profit) intentionally would try to #### off it's fan base. I would imagine that if DCI had received 245,000 phone calls and emails after the removal of the shows from the Fan Network there would have been some sort of response on DCI's part. I would guess (but don't actually know) that they received somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-75 phone calls and emails about the removal of the shows. I am guessing that DCI does not view this as a "disaster". Again, I completely understand why folks would be upset, but I am guessing the folks that are really really angry are a HUGE minority. If the majority of Fan Network subscribers had complained directly to DCI, DCI would have done something. Z
  8. I think calling DCI's handling of the situation a "PR disaster" may be going a little far. Are there ways DCI could have handled the situation that would have upset less people...sure. But how many people are truly upset? 1000-2500? Of those, I would guess 50-100 are REALLY upset. And yes, I know I am pulling numbers out of thin air. I imagine that if mid June rolls around and folks are able to watch live shows on the Fan Network once or twice a week...the majority of subscribers are going to be happy. Now if the current situation messes up the live streams, well that's an entirely different ballgame. As it stands now, I'm fine to wait and see what happens. For the folks whose life were tragically altered by the removal of quite a few shows...I feel bad. But for now I'm fine to patiently wait for an announcement from DCI about the 2015 version of the Fan Network. Z
  9. Mary Wilson is the founder and director of The Bandettes drum and bugle corps from Sault Ste Marie, Canada. Although they were not the most successful all female drumcorps, they were the last and I would imagine the longest operating all female corps. Mary impacted many lives and provided an excellent musical education to girls in a part of North America where there are nearly no instrumental music programs. Not only was Mary a great director, she is an even better person. Lots of folks May not know Mary, but she is a hall of famer in my book. Z
  10. Cavaliers baseball segment was in the 2005 Chicago show. Bluecoats did boxing in 2008. James Logan's winterguard did a boxing show 10-15 years ago. I think Pope high schools winterguard did a show about running...not sure if it was Pope or another Georgia hs. Bluestars did cycling in 2008...I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones that immediately come to mind. Z
  11. Mary Wilson. Folks have tried, but so far no success. Still keeping my fingers crossed it happens in the next few years. Z
  12. The early to mid 90's uniforms are clearly the hit. Of course I'm biased as I wore that uniform from 1994-1998. Pioneer has had some good and some bad uniforms since mid 1998, but the white topped 90's unis are what I think of when I think of the corps. Z
  13. If the show begins with the burning down of a magnolia tree, then I guess we know it's a reference to 2014. I don't care what the show is about, I just want it to be good. Z
  14. So the people who screw up leave the block, and the people who don't screw up stay in the block. That makes total sense. Basics are awesome. An elimination block is stupid. But that's just me...and I've ran my fair share of basics blocks. Z
  15. I have yet to find the benefit of a large game of simon says. If i can avoid doing this, i do. Z
  16. I want good drumcorps. If it's something that has been done before and it's done well...I'm happy. If it's something that is entirely new to drumcorps and it's done well...I'm happy. With that said...if Vanguard keeps the same design team (and I hope they do), I would be interested in seeing another take on Carmen. To me, that seems like a fairly logical next step from 2014. Z
  17. 2002 Magic of Orlando. But that was a special case. Too long to go into here. It would deserve it's own topic. Z
  18. And i believe the answer was "come back to the bus later, and I will show you". Cue the dear in the headlights look and Jessica Allen responding with uhhhhh back to you Steve.
  19. The greatest moment in theater broadcast history. There were so few theaters carrying the broadcast in 2004 that I'm guessing very few people actually saw this. The answer to the question easily got the loudest reaction in the theater I was in that night. I tell the story often, and most people think i am exaexaggerating or making it up. If you find the clip that would be awesome, but as this was a ways back in smartphone technology and social media I am guessing you are going to strike out. Z Atendee at every single quarterfinals broadcast in the theater.
  20. BTW...Cascades are better than Surf. Regardless of what the scores have said.
  21. When I click on the high cam feed it says HTML5 is not enabled. Stuck with crappy sound on multi cam...which is working fine...other than the sound issues.
  22. Awrsome. We get crowd noise, announcer noise, and absolutely nothing else.
  23. The high camera was tilted at the start (since fixed)...this has to be a good sign for Bluecoats tonight. Z
  24. I used an ipad physically connected to a tv and the mobile multi cam feed. I did not have one issue the entire night. Z
  25. Yet if the percussion scores were identical between the two judges, people would complain and say things were fixed. DCI judge...most thankless job in the world. Z
