AlexL
The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps is excited to announce Tom Aungst as percussion caption head and arranger and Neil Larrivee as front ensemble manager and arranger for the 2010 season. Both Tom and Neil were percussion consultants to the Blue Stars in 2009, and will fully run the percussion program for the upcoming season. http://www.bluestars.org/story.php?story_id=

FlamMan
I like the Blue Stars, but I sure wish that Madison had hired Aungst.

Newseditor44
If I'm correct, Aungst had made the move to Blue Stars as a consultant last season. I think most saw this move coming but it was just a matter of when it would happen.
perc2100
http://www.bluestars.org/story.php?story_id=548 Exciting for Blue Stars, but not a huge surprise, right? They were consulting in 09 I think, so this can't be a huge surprise. A friend of mine put it best when describing Blue Stars' percussion in 2009: they remind me of Phantom Regiment the first year Rennick took over. I got the sense that great things are about to happen at Blue Stars, and last year's outstanding percussion section will only get better and better in the very near future!
