Jeff Ream
i just don't understand what the judges are looking for in GE and why it can't be made more consistent from judge to judge. i think the shows this year (across the board) are WAY better than last year's in terms of design, performance, and entertainment factors. it's gonna get really interesting. this early in the year, with everyone in different states of readiness and offering of the full show ( usually not) GE can fluctuate wildly. Someone may have new stuff in, but it may be a mess. People still have stuff to add in.

thirdcoast
Sorry Sal, but I am a homer and you know it. I am all about MADISON! One down and a bunch to go. I sure hope the GLASSMEN can beat the Cavies this year. That would make the two g,s (george and gibbs) feel kinda small, ey. Keep up the good work MADISON SCOUTS! Cant wait to take the field with you all tonight. Nothing like seeing hundreds of MADISON SCOUTS on one field together singing MYNWA. I get to sing with Sal Salas. GO GLASSMEN! dbc03
Wow, the almost entire gap between 1st and 2nd was decided by ensemble music.
Schickmeister
Wow, the almost entire gap between 1st and 2nd was decided by ensemble music. my thoughts exactly...don't think crown should get too comfortable unless the kadets band stops practicing...a likely scenario
chris ncsu
my thoughts exactly...don't think crown should get too comfortableunless the kadets band stops practicing...a likely scenario Yeah, we'll see. Some interesting scores between Cadets and Crown. Crown has sizable visual lead, but Cadets won GE Vis by 0.2. Crown has huge brass (music ensemble) lead, but only won GE Music by 0.2 -- leading to a GE tie between Cadets and Crown. I wonder if Crown's GE scores reflect more their execution than their content? And vice versa for Cadets? Just things to ponder, I've not seen either show in person. chilichz
Top 3 most entertaining of the night were Cavaliers, Scouts and Cadets!

THeShadeOfNight
All I have to say is:OMG BLUE STARS DRUM BOOK!!!!! I actually saw them on unnamed websites. I found that if you were to click the soccer ball at the bottom of the video, you could hear the hornline playing as well
JonW
The 58th Annual "Drums on Parade": Tonight's show in Middleton will be the first one I've attended in far too many years. All the comments in the last several pages have definately got me jazzed for this. I'll be cheering for all the corps, but be especially loud for my Wisconsin corps. This is going to be spectacular. Kilties! Racine Scouts! Pioneer! Madison Scouts! Blue Stars! I'll also get to see the upcoming Cedarburg and LaCross shows, but this being the first makes it oh soo sweeeet.
