They weren't the only ones, but I guess because they were the new kids on the block, who -- at least on the surface -- seemed to have more money than most of the rest of us, that's why some (envious) folks considered it news. I don't know about 77 but I know for sure Spirit didn't stay at any hotels in 78 or 79, unless you want to count the dorms at Whitewater. shostahoosier Posted August 14, 2010 Share Posted August 14, 2010 I know of another finalist corps that was put up in a nice resort (though not necessarily hotel rooms) in DISNEY WORLD in 1997 when their housing fell through. The corps director pretty much told DCI that either they could find them housing or they could have the corps not come to finals and DCI complied.
