Vanguard Rich
Thought it was 12 but could be mistaken. We had 4 contras and one retreat three of them had t shirts that read "3 + John = 12". The last ones' shirt read "I'm John". Crus contras came over to get a better look and everyone had a good laugh. Crowd was probably trying to figure out what the Hades was going on.Wow.... had totally forgotten, thanks Rich..... Now that YOU mentioned it, I remember the shirts now too. That was pretty funny. Thanks, Jim!!!

Gary Matczak
I remember that Corps. I was with the Chicago Connection back then. They had 14 contras with the silkscreen numbers, 1 to 14 on the bells. Unfortunately I coudn't hear them playing which I thought was rather odd. Anyone else remember them? actually, I think that was 79 they had all of the contras,................several Erie guys went to join the corps that year,.............I was almost one of them,..................my older brother was one of them,............... judojop
I'll give it a shot too... CabsMelloGirl
Let's see... NOT including the two years NOT as a member that I spent with the corps.... 1997- 3rd 1998- 3rd 1999- 5th 2000- 2nd 2001- 3rd 2002- 6th 2003- 1st 2008-5th 2009-5th 2010-5th The only caption I can remember off the top of my head was high brass in 2000... But I could be wrong on this... can't seem to find an archive of all the captions through the years. Even Corpsreps seems to only be bringing up one show from 1998 in the archive... Jeff Ream
'92 Westshore...-- A corps not far out of 3rd coming out of Prelims, either, so much potential that was kinda messed up.... I remember H-B and the Gang down there very clearly-- way cool. well..when staff cant all agree, you have issues. shame, tons of talent there

Years are running together for me buddy.... But I DO know 1978 was the year Chicago Connection was runner up at AL Championships. So Rich and I have a dang good average for the American Legion....
