jimwolf359
As I just learned! As I found...after an intense search of DCI Rules....Hard copy available for purchase from DCI I See. Yes, you would think a PDF file of this would be readily available. Shame. That should be free and open access. Shame that DCI does it that way. If they want people to better understand the hows and whys of shows, it would help to have unfettered access to the rules book. skywhopper
It's asking too much for DCI to publish their rules on-line. psst 2009, but still useful.

Chances are you can find an old rule book online somewhere; the logistical/Timing & penalty rules haven't changed alot. As far as penalties for being late to the gate, most of the time it is at the discretion of the contest coordinator and depends on 1) how late 2) reason they are late. I believe the "standard" is 1 point for every 1 minute of delay. One corps being late to go in causes a domino effect and can cause the whole contest to run late. Not a good scenario to have, especially when the venue is tight and crowded. Good find, MotorCityMusician. :) Edited August 5, 2012 by texascv1

oldbandguy
.5 point for each 1.5 minutes lateness Why did Crusaders get a full 5 point deduction. They sure weren't 15 minutes late?
fsubone
Why did Crusaders get a full 5 point deduction. They sure weren't 15 minutes late? I thought it was a point per minute? I think their guard was 4 to 5 minutes late.
