tja273
My corps (Freelancers) were absolute rock stars in Witchita Falls TX. We were hated worse than HIV in Boston. We cheered for you in Cincinnati in 1988 (you got screwed that night). We had a day off, so what did we do? Yeah, we went to a drum corps show. rayfallon
Doug, I believe I was on the field with you at the Baltimore show. The applause was so loud we missed Brian Callahan's count off for Sing, Sing, Sing. We also got our ##### kicked in that show, but 35 years later I find I don't care much. Sure was a pleasure playing for those 20,000+ people on that crooked field.
Ghost
Sure was a pleasure playing for those 20,000+ people on that crooked field. And usually dusty.
OldBones
First Year Crossmen, 1975, in Hanover PA. Start of the show, turned for the first hit, the entire audiance was already giving a standing ovation. The most amazing thing was they never sat down. Standing O throughout the entire show. I'll never forget that experience.
LSU GRAD 82
Speaking of "Crowd Reaction", the 70's/80's/90's were like S.E.C.football crowds and the post 2000 DCI CR's are like Professional Golf. Just another thing I miss about DrumCorps. Few, if any, passionate standing ovations anymore. I guess because there is very little to stand up and get excited about.
Cavie74
Cavaliers introduction on the starting line at 1975 DCI Finals. We were Boo'd mercilessly by all the East Coast and Muchachos fans. That was my most memorable crowd reaction - ever.

BigW
82 DCI Finals, SCV closer. Crowd went so berserk the corps fell apart at the end of the program because they couldn't hear themselves. I couldn't hear myself in the crowd and I was screaming. Was sheer insanity.
