jwillis35 Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Other than a crack in the Vanguard soloist. If they don't pass Cadets...it'll be criminal. That performance had me a bit emotional. Well, I don't know if it will be tonight. Despite the horrid audio, I definitely heard some bad articulations, rough intonation in several sections, and some balance issues (again, doing my best to listen beyond the audio). Overall the show is much better than any of the top 3 (as a whole show). At least in my opinion. Crown comes the 2nd closest in terms of total show. The Cadets are fabulous performers but just do not have the visual GE. BD are fabulous performers and seem to have all the goods. Crown is likely the only corps that can take 'em on the right night, but SCV can take 3rd with a better brass performance and with better marching execution.
