Kamarag
You took the words right out of my mouth. This is the first year that I've even liked the Bluecoats...... this show has turned me into a huge fan. I've always like them musically, but the fresh approach to visual design is a step in the right direction. I know it's easy for Coats fans and alumni to be hung up worrying about this year, but they need to consider the long-ball. They are setting themselves up really nicely for future success.
Slingerland
I was talking about Coats drum placement with this judge... I know Cavaliers line is scoring well. Sorry for the confusion if I'm mistaken. Ah - sorry for the misread. Personally, I'm encouraged to see less predictability in the captions night to night. Maybe we're finally getting back to the time when a performance is judged on its merits rather than on what's "supposed" to happen.
Kevin.
BD beat Cadets by .1 in brass last night. Cadets bested BD in brass tonight by .3. Interesting. Insert "Tonight's brass judge is a clarinet player" joke here. Or maybe, just maybe, Cadets were better tonight
superOOk
Their guard was rather weak in design and achievement last year. Can't believe they'd be top of the heap this year. and theeeerrre you have it.
chaos001
I was a little surprised by the scores tonight as well but I don't think Bluecoats should freak out just yet. (Actually, even if this is how it winds up in the end, they still shouldn't. It's still a great show.) Weird #### sometimes happens during non-regional shows. Hell, we beat Cadets a week before Finals in 92. Remember how that turned out? (And yes, Chaos, I know it's not the 90's anymore, LOL.) You sure about that? :P

geluf
Bluecoats' fans tonight: I'm not sure there's anything on the planet in sports or drum corps that can actually be compared to that.
N.E. Brigand
They were 3rd in DeKalb and 2nd in LaCrosse, facing most of the same competition. They might not win drums at a show, but they're consistently just under the top, regardless of who wins. I'd say that's a better mark of consistency than not. And Cavaliers tied Bluecoats and beat Cadets for percussion at the Cinecast show in Akron.

superOOk
Bluecoats' fans tonight: Actually, we are pretty surprised at all of the support that is coming out. Pretty cool. They are setting themselves up for a run at a title next year and beyond.
