Tobias
So they're going back to the Holy Name Cadets moniker this season? That patch has always been on the uni.
Cappybara
That patch has always been on the uni. Woah seriously? I'm not sure how I've never noticed that in person or in pictures.
Tobias
Woah seriously? I'm not sure how I've never noticed that in person or in pictures. Just a patch on the shoulder. Hard to see unless you're on top on them (like me)..,

Actually the patch has only been on there since 2009 (75th anniversary).
garfield
There's a wing there named after a client of mine. I've been there for an awards banquet and have wandered around the campus. During dinner a string quartet and pianist - all ONU engineering students - serenaded us during dinner. It's a wonderful school with a beautiful campus less than 50 miles away from the 1960's and '70's hotbed of drum corps in Ohio (Bellefontaine). Cadets will have a ball in Ohio.
Tobias
Really? Actually the patch has only been on there since 2009 (75th anniversary). Edited May 15, 2015 by Tobias
xandandl
Actually the patch has only been on there since 2009 (75th anniversary). Partially correct. The patch was on the jacket until the mid-eighties and returned to the uniform in '09 for the 75th. It has been worn as such since. The reason it was removed in the '80's was 3 fold: a) cost production savings; b) when corps members were facing different directions but looking toward the front sidelines, which was right or left shoulder wasn't an issue; and c) initial moves toward a new umbrella organization and marching band co-op were beginning to formulate; YEA was the later result. The C2 patch is not the same one as what C1 wears but looks similar from a distance. Edited May 15, 2015 by xandandl
