Ghost
This Friday's show featured a piece by Johnathan Bates around the 64 minute mark called "At The Royal Parks" by the Flowers band. http://www.worldofbrass.com/wobradio But I thought Horn Teacher would like the below rendition by some very young musicians. There's also a Pt. 2 that you can open which was different. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdfiMOHWnDc Edited January 16, 2016 by Ghost

Ghost
Some of us on DCP enjoy the talent of European Bands with others from other continents. My primary listen is the weekly World of Brass broadcast. They have changed their website. http://www.worldofbrass.com/wobradio Anyhoo, I came across this recording by the Cory Band at last years Championships. I swear the composer Thomas Doss wrote this while spend some time with Timothy Leary. Stick it out and catch the audiences reaction at the end. OK Crown, let's see you give this a go! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=palxvJMFQlI Edited January 17, 2016 by Ghost

Cadevilina Crown
Is ping pong illegal in DCI? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg4TgtQv6lQ That is... pretty out there. And from the same composer that was featured in Bluecoats 2014, no less. How about something a little more accessible? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgMXo7ShO_U Edited January 18, 2016 by Cadevilina Crown
xandandl
Is ping pong illegal in DCI? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg4TgtQv6lQ Watch this now in umpteen WGI indoor percussion next season, ho, ho. And with corps and indoors having 5 to 6 in bass line, a canon of this will sound like a cannon very surely.
DrumManTx
I'd LOVE to hear more Grainger, looking at corpsreps not a lot of stuff used to my surprise. An all "Lincolnshire Posy" show would be beautiful, not sure who I'd picture doing it but it'd be gorgeous. Pre 2014 I woulda said Blue Knights, love what they did with the two Grainger pieces in 2011. Working on "The Power of Rome and the Christian Heart" where I'm going to school right now, not sure how the heck it'd transfer to the field but there are some potentially massive brass moments that be killer on the field, and some very intricate writing throughout the rest of the piece. Love the overall mood of it, would provide for some very interesting source material. Edited January 20, 2016 by DrumManTx
