Eleran
It was one of many rarely played pieces that we were expected to have memorized. I marched in the Crossmen during the YEA days and we had several charts that we played together with the Cadets at YEA shows. One piece was called Non Nobis, yet was affectionately referred to by many as "no one knows this". Was that Patrick Doyle's version from "Henry V"? I would have liked to hear that arranged for brass. fsubone
DCI should consider " Sweet Caroline " at INT, imo. INT has loudspeakers for amplification now that makes it practical too. Standup singalongs encouraged from Finals Night fans in attendance with the rendition too. Neil Diamond has waived the copywrite issue, and says he needs all the musical exposure that DCI will permit. That might go poorly if any West Virginia football fans are attending Finals. They have a tendency to add their own lyrics into that song

jbeatty89
Was that Patrick Doyle's version from "Henry V"? I would have liked to hear that arranged for brass. That's the one. I think either Michael Klesch or Jay Bocook did the arrangement. It was much shorter than this particular clip.
IllianaLancerContra
It used to be played I believe on Wednesday night after opening ceremonies or something else. (????) Follow up: As the following posts were read, my memory was way off (again). In 2001 (U of Maryland) it was played at the age-out ceremony & conducted by Tru Crawford, Colonel, USMC (ret). The next day the recording of it was played on National Peoples Radio (aka NPR) during one of their music breaks.
IllianaLancerContra
We need to stop these ravening terrors throughout the world too. Its making us senseless! At first glance I thought he said 'Ravaging Tenors', which might be a good idea for a drum feature...
Land_Surfer
Hi fellow drum corps fans, I have a question...I must have woke-up from a comma. Last time I checked, all corps played "America the Beautiful" together on Finals Night after the scores had been reported. The worst part is, I asked some people sitting near me last summer, young people, and they said, "Dude, huh? We've never heard of that." This is ashame. Please don't tell me it's because of political correctness or things got "too busy to coordinate,""too much going on so, they couldn't "fit it in." In an age where people ... young people ... are taught that America "stinks," America is "rotten," to the core (no pun intended) this is a DCI tradition that helps people love their country. Isn't playing "America the Beautiful" by all the corps something we can all agree was a good thing? If there's a "lame" reason why they stopped, I'll be starting a petition to bring it back. Count on it. Chris Because it would be too much work to set up all of the electronic keyboards, and related parafanalia just for a major crowd pleaser. drumno5
I never thought this was a great tradition. It ended up being something that was not entertaining and had a bunch of sopranos trying to play high notes they couldn't reach and hanging over. drumno5
Hear hear, well said. Can we all agree that hearing "America the Beautiful," or the national anthem, or anything, played badly by a poorly coordinated, ill-rehearsed group is not a good thing?
