garfield
Fantastic Run tonight BK!! Ending is cool, can't wait to see it with the tarp tomorrow:) Oh the tarp is still in, Wes? Where was it tonight?
MikeRapp
Not the earth shattering ending we were sold...... But they did sell me in Saturn tonight. Beautiful! And that drum writing. Sublime. Great corps, just not for me this year. Ending was not very fulfilling. The easel props were odd too. No one seemed to understand their significance. But they really had a big full sound that filled the field. Their snare book is awesome and they were so loud it sounded mic'ed!
DrumManTx
Oh the tarp is still in, Wes? Where was it tonight? It absorbed itself. Silly black holes.
oldbandguy
He was an awesome caption head with Bluecoats. So happy to see him doing well as a writer/arranger with BK. I think his years with Tom Rarick served him well.
garfield
And I want to give a hat tip to those Mapex drums. I didn't like them when they first hit the scene but, I must say, tuned well like BK does (and most others, too) they are the nicest sounding and projecting drums on the field. The whole ensemble, including their concert equipment on the sidelines, is really tasty. I sold my Yamaha Sfz, I still have my Pearl (the _Kid plays on that) and I'm thinking about bringing home a Mapex snare from Columbus Percussion just to hear it sing under the _Kid's sticks. "Oh, what a lovely night that will be."
