luv4corps
Yeah Cadevilina - I was thinking why go to all this trouble when it's already posted?
luv4corps
Scouts got a somewhat 'out of order' slot. Boston will be performing their hearts out. OC placed higher than Mandarins at Allentown but score averaging of regionals puts them behind for prelim order. Great for Mandies but bummer for OC. Averaging out the three regionals does not do much to recognize corps that have been on the rise as of late - like Boston. In season long sports that have playoffs, they take into account performance the whole season, not just the last bit

So, we're not going to reward those groups that came out of the gate better prepared? All these corps know ahead of time that ALL the regionals factor into the order of performance in Indy. You can't just toss out the scores from the first one because things have changed. Last I checked, the first 1/4 of the season counted in the standings for MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL. More of luck of judging than on rise. Every group knows going into the season what the stakes are at the regionals. One of the reasons everyone was passed about BK not finishing their show for half a season.

Tenoris4Jazz
Boston hasn't beaten Academy in three weeks. (Ignore the Quincy scores, partial panels don't count in August) Boston outscored Madison at Allentown, albeit on a different day and by 0.05 pts. They are trending upward, but even at the split performance in Allentown, they didn't show they should be any kind of a favorite over Madison come Thursday. Boston will be in high gear going on after Troopers, but then Academy will set the bar right after them. I think Madison is in a horrible spot, not only following Academy's better show, but following all the crowd momentum for getting Academy into Finals. Scouts would be much better served by going on after Boston and before Academy. Edited August 9, 2016 by Tenoris4Jazz

On pins and needles here - in a good way!
afd
So what Open class corps will score higher than World class this year? My guess is BDB over Pioneer, Cascades, Jersey Surf, Pacific Crest, and Spirit and neck and neck with OC and Manderins. Same with SCVC. Both will make semis.
