You all know I how I feel about this show, but I don't think it sucks. People have been critical of any form of art since the beginning of art, and we are discussing art here. We may not all disagree, but that's the beauty of it. I know this is a bit off topic, but I have a point. In 1976, Bayreuth Festspiele staged the centenary production of Richard Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen." It was a modern production that outraged it's audience. I have a recording of it, and it is crazy listening to the audience boo and jeer through the 14+ hour performance. Winifred Wagner, then the leader for the Wagner family, who disliked the production herself, asked rhetorically "isn't it better to be furious than to be bored?". One of my favorite pieces. Just awesome. And to clarify it's a tetrology - four operas making up a single story, so it's over 4 or 5 nights. The longest is the 4th opera which is about 5 hours. Before anyone says it's a prelude and three operas, i know that, but I like to say it's for because Rheingold (the 1st) stands on it's own as a great work. So you're saying you've never made a single negative comment about a show, any where? I don't believe that. When I buy tickets, records, videos, go to shows, and donate to corps I think I can comment on the merits of their work. And again, all we have to go by is what we see today. And the reason I've said it over and over is because I say something, then someone else says something, then I reply, then someone else says something, then I reply. It's how a discussion works. That's the issue. As you know, you and I are fine. I just don't get the point of saying over and over how poorly designed you think the show is. I'm not just posting without replying to something that someone says to me. I don't have a problem with anyone on here.
