DCI's own gets a mention on NBC News

Recommended Posts

Agreed, although the whole story is very mild and neutrally presented.

Kuenhnold is mentioned again at the end:

"If no D.C. bands welcome Trump to the White House, many young musicians from across the country will be eager to take their place. 'Bands from all over are waiting to get that letter,' Kuehnhold said."

I failed reading comprehension and missed this quote entirely. My bad, and I'm glad Sue said what she said. It was perfect.

I'm not sure what would lead you to make this statement. The comment from Kuehnhold contains perhaps the least innuendo of the entire story.

Agreed, and had I read it correctly, what Sue said put DCI's position clearly in "We welcome ALL".

No.

Hmm. I seem to remember several corps playing RUSSIAN Christmas music...

And one 1997 Corpsreps.com reference to Russian Sailors' Dance.

And tons of Great Gate of Kiev.

Nyet. How Tsarist of you.

Kiev is in the Ukraine, in fact the capital of the Ukraine which is definitely not Russian even though Putin may fancy it.

Nyet, nyet, nyet. Start doing your push-ups.

Ah, but Mussorgsky wrote about a Russian gate. Da?
