Not likely. BD hanging close with SCV in drums. Gonna be interesting. Guard, perhaps, but I don't think so in brass. I think BD will continue to hang close in drums, but don't see them overtaking SCV.

Just saw the LotHype.com video of BD's show from Clovis, and if that cleans up and is tweaked in the right ways even Bloo hasn't got a prayer this year. Bloo is much, MUCH more polished and needs far less tweaking to their design out of the gate, but with that comes the danger of plateauing early. BD should try playing while marching sometime.

BD almost beat SCV by a point in GE tonight with a visual package that's likely not even close to finished.

I wasn't impressed with PR at all. I honestly felt like I was watching a show from 1984 with that visual design. That said, I actually liked it. They are moving fast and have a lot of readable drill, which is getting more and more absent these days. I think PR will be in the 10 to 12 range come finals. The show just isn't very interesting or entertaining, to be frank. Again, they have failed to evolve to meet the criteria that scores well in DCI today.

Not sure why people are treating PR's hornline as if they're a bunch of middle schoolers. Despite their down years, the corps attracts plenty talent because of its history and unique identity. They are capable, but the visual program they've been given is BAC 2014 level difficult and it's hard to sound good in the beginning when your feet are barely keeping up with the drill. That corps is moving around a LOT.

Visual design is not even in the same ball park as last year. I wouldn't expect them to make finals. I'd agree at this point sadly. A lot of time to flesh things out, but it seemed a bit flat.
