Regiment staff/volunteer bus in accident

Recommended Posts

Not what I wanted to read about after a busy morning.   Thoughts and prayers to everyone even remotely involved.......this kind of stuff really snaps you back to reality and puts what matters back in perspective.   Been a rough summer with what happened at Music City, Troopers, and now Phantom Regiment.

Very very sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by this terrible event.

Drum Corps people, especially the volunteers, are absolutely among the finest individuals on this planet. So sad just thinking about this.

I am crushed. I am jumping at any chance to donate money for anything they need assistance with.  Love you Phantom!

IDK it all seems so confusing. Unless PR is not counting the driver .

Just to be clear, from what I read, the driver is a company driver for the bus line. Hence, it is not a volunteer. Somewhat gruesome detail here: http://www.12news.com/mb/news/local/arizona/bus-driver-killed-2-others-flown-to-hospital-after-rollover-crash-on-i-10/453821548.

I don't want to make light of the situation, as it's clear that many of the volunteers were injured and/or otherwise shaken up, but the driver wasn't a volunteer. As such, perhaps the corps members won't take the situation quite as hard as they might have if the individual who died had been a volunteer with close ties.

One takeaway - please wear your seat belt.

How awful... I'm on my way to volunteer with the cavaliers for two weeks and this is a tragedy... I stand in solidarity with Phantom, such a great organization.
