I announce two or three local high school shows every Fall and built my style from listening to the greats of the activity: Crocker, Rondo, Potter and Chuck Henson from the BOA side. Before I started I had long since been in the activity and knew how those guys did things. It sounds to me like the guy at this show not only has very little experience as a PA announcer, but also is not someone with much knowledge of the activity to know how most of the announcers do things.
