I hear that. Saw them twice that summer, once from up high, and once from the first row.  The first-row viewing... basically all we saw was the stage and occasionally some folks marching near and around it. LOL

Three nights in a row.  The 140 section at LOS was very quiet.

And despite that fubar, their execution and quality of the Copland arrangements were arguably Silver, even on Saturday night.

They were great.  I would have loved to have seen it.

The BluRay was the ticket to enjoy the excellence.

And that's the point here.

If a drum corps does a great visual show in the forest and no one sees it... did they actually do a great visual show?

I did look up at the big screen at Lucas most of the show.

The field is the stage.  Who puts a stage in front of a stage?

I knew as soon as I wrote that Star 93 was overrated, I should beware of angry mobs and having my car tires slashed!😊

LOL. I hated the show in '93. I hated the show for years afterwards. It took over a decade to grow on me, but I'm glad I kept revisiting it and fighting for it. It was well worth it. Now, I not only consider it the greatest and only perfectly designed show in DCI history, but is is my absolute all time favorite show - for so many reasons. It's the show I listen to most, by far.
