KVG_DC
Finally a chance to see the Colts' props without wind. The cloth around the circles looks much better without the peekaboo reveals when the wind gusts. But the draping fabric from the guard members still seems too messy. They sound great though! They've got an intensity that is hot. Here comes the color change!
garfield
Wow!!!! That was a GREAT visual! Fabulous palette change, Colts!
N.E. Brigand
Colt Cadets did a "fire or ice' show a few years ago (quoting the famous Rob't. Frost poem) which ended with the corps freezing in place.
Dmuniz_crossmen_fan
Looked like the ice got stuck but they recovered well.

I don't really know what else to say other than that --- it's just a flat out poorly-arranged ballad. The Bluecoats should teach them a lesson in how to arrange Bon Iver for the field. They’ve successfully done that twice now. Otherwise, it drags down a Madison show that I already like much more than last year’s.
KVG_DC
Just now, N.E. Brigand said: Homestead High School's fire and ice show a couple years ago with the miniature skating rink should have made BOA finals. Hah. I agree. And had a similar thought with the viz package here.
KVG_DC
I still wanna figure out how to get more blue on the MMs Maybe some sort of bib drape for the top?

Candid Insight
1 minute ago, N.E. Brigand said: So far I'm liking this Colts' show much more than the last couple years'. One of my favorite Colts shows of all time was the Johnny Staccatto show. Performance levels were not great but I thought the show was clever and entertaining. Since then they have had more traditional shows and have performed at a higher level. I guess I miss Bridgemen / Velvet Knights and wish we had at least one comic relief show. The closest we got recently was Academy with 'Drum Corpse Bride' That was a great combination of humor, entertainment, and emotion. Loved that show. The Colts have cleaned up quite a bit - enjoyable show this year.
