Thank goodness Flo and the internet didn't exist back then. 😂 I distinctly remember marching our show in High School on a soaked field after the football team had been mashing it up for an hour. We lost shoes in that mud and staff had to run through and look for them frantically before the football team came back out. Every now and then there’d be one found in the third quarter by some player though. Being in the guard felt so separate from the corps for me at times. I would have loved to have worn a classic uni ('cept for the hot part!)
