I don't find the show to be THAT avant-garde. Thematically it's beautifully written and designed. Would my father have loved it? Probably not. But then I think about him sporting his VK shirt and think...just maybe. I would change the black robed priest thing in bump. There's so much going on between the hornline, pit and battery that the priests just feel distracting...almost out of place with the rest of the show. But it's early season and we all know the top 6 will change their shows 4 times before finals. What is stunning to me is that there is just SO much more to grow this show.
