I never had any trouble memorizing music. I memorized two shows in 2002. That was the hardest part about coming back after almost 20 years. The chops and reading music came back after a while. But memorizing was every night for an hour for months. Kris would watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and I’d be in the cellar. She could tell how good/bad things were going by amount of swearing she could hear over Alex Trabeck and Pat Sajack 1
ironlips
I'm hoping to hear this, though I fear it's unlikely:

Just to clarify - this wasn't a commercial - this was the introduction to the Platinum Jubilee Concert back in June (The first act was Queen which is why they do the intro to "We Will Rock You" at the end) Edited September 12, 2022 by Moz

That said, QE2 didn't have coronation until over a year after death of her father, so it may be a bit of a wait.

I know she was in Africa when the King passed; I think she headed straight back home. Looking at all the stuff King Charles is required to do over the next week, I would be surprised if she had stayed on the world tour. Edit - Apparently the code name for the formal coronation is Operation Golden Orb. greg_orangecounty
Watched the ceremony where Charles is officially named King. The Coldstream Guard "Rifles" were incredibly clean and "TIC FREE"! Right shoulder arms, left shoulder arms, port, present arms, parade rest, etc. were all beautifully executed. I understand if you're under 50 you don't appreciate it or care, but those of us from the tic era......it was beautiful 🙂

I remember guards working hours on correct timing and hand positions.

They maybe just don’t appreciate the difficulty.
DFA1970
I will definitely be watching the funeral for the Queen. I love the everything about tradition and beauty of it. I'm a sucker for unfortunately sad events like state funerals. Edited September 13, 2022 by DFA1970
