Allentown uh-oh

It seems people are not recognizing there is a difference between East and Northeast. 🤪

It's not that so much. I certainly see it as East. But for some they see anything south of the Mason-Dixon line on the East as the Mid-Atlantic region until you get down to South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida then you are in the South East. So yes, I do think many folks want to keep DCI East in the East or Northeast (north of the Mason-Dixon.

Couple of things:

1. I presume the U o P reference is Franklin Field.

DCI has the Easts there when they were renovating Birney Crum.

Not a great place for a number of reasons including parking.

2.Lafayette seems like a viable alternative.

Again same general area.

3.William and Mary would be a much longer trip for people

who go to Allentown from North Jersey  and Eastern/North Eastern

Pa.

Honestly, I take responsibility for the way I phrased that response. What I actually meant is that Northeast, New England, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast are all actually east. I seems that some people only consider East to encompass from the Mason Dixon upwards. Not directed at any one person in particular.

Having lived my entire 50 plus years in Mid Atlantic region and below the Mason Dixon, I consider myself a east coast resident.

I still want to see proof that any seats are actually unusable.

Yeah, we're all sitting here talking about other stadiums, but your point is the more concerning thing. Someone said they heard about this on reddit but I have not heard anything official. And if there is damage where is it?

There was a post on fb with a picture of the bleachers, and explaining what appeared to be some minimal bowing in some of the seats on the lower level. Most of the damage was contained to the general admission seating area according to the fb post. I am hoping that is the true case and that DCI is just trying to cover themselves in case more issues are discovered.

I have had my seats purchased in the upper section of the bleachers and I have not received any contact from DCI at all about my seats, as of this morning.

As beautiful and well-kept as Lafayette Stadium is, the spectator parking is every bit as challenging as Allentown, probably worse. Corps bus and truck movements and parking MUCH more challenging than Allentown.  The stadium and campus are surrounded by a lovely, older neighborhood. This alone would require the closing and clearing of 8-10 blocks of neighborhood curb parking that is usually full on non-event days. Concert Side seating capacity at Lafayette is 12,500.

Lehigh has no lights and is natural turf.

After recent renovations, Delaware stadium now has fewer goal-to-goal seats on Concert Side (about 8500) than Allentown (14,500). About 4000 of Allentown seats, however wind around beyond the end zones.

Bethlehem School District Stadium has 7000 seats Concert Side goal-to-goal. Limited parking options there, too.

Funny thing is that most southerners think Virginia is the northeast

To me, anything south of Fredericksburg, Virginia is the south. Coming from someone who has been in the DMV his entire life but went to school at a couple Virginia state schools

I admittedly have had warped views in past.  When I was in Louisiana we said that the South (Mississippi) was North.   We were south of the South.
