lowest I can find on DCA's site is 28.5 for the Westsmoreland Esquires at 79 prelims.

Wind Gap Renaissance had a 27.1 at Hershey in 1980 per Sr. Corps.com

In addition, not to be a stick in the mud, but many/most people don't bother reading the question and simply see their corps name there and click on it.

I don't even know what this thread is about. All I know is I voted for the Renegades.

(Here's hoping it's not a poll for the "Worst Hot Dog Corps in DCA" LOL)

Most consistent drum corps in History, way back before DCA and perhaps after it's all done.

And at the moment they may be the two most successful drum corps on the planet.

For me the corps I most loved to compete against and with NY Skyliners, the corps it felt best to beat in any given year.

WHAT?????? There is no way to forget those corps... you are asking too much. Especially Blousemen!!!!

Fran has been staring at those bad shirts for way too long. Forget Blouse? That's the problem with DCA....they want EVERYONE to forget the "Big B"!

I also voted a close 2nd for the infamous Nacho Cheesemen.

PV doesn't even rate Dishonorable Mention. Sissies.

I can't really argue against the Cabs, but let me also put this out there.

The Empire Statesmen have a pretty good track record.

Top 4 since 1988

83-87 consistently improved, never backslid

Numerous titles (too lazy to look it up)

Constantly pushing the envelope in design and innovation

I don't think it fair to so easily dismiss this type of achievement. AND, if you concede that, as earlier stated, it's not when they joined DCA but since the INCEPTION of DCA. it's interesting to ponder!

When you say "Constantly pushing the envelope in design and innovation"....you're talking about Empire?? And nobody is dismissing Empire...they came in third.

the statesman have been great no doubt. and you can't discount that. but the cabs have been doing it since the 40's. they are truly the best and most consistant for a very long time. just unbelievable.

Yes. Not going to get into a peeing match with you, but go back and look at their shows through the years. They did a lot of things that no one in DCA had done before. (But many since)

My statements were merely as a reply to the "they've only been around since 1983" argument.

Just food for thought. As I said, not trying to argue AGAINST the Cabs. Their record speaks for themselves.
