San Antonio Sizzler!

Yes...Boston spent a lot of time last week on changes to music and visual in the closer. Those parts need refining and this week gives them time to do that. New visuals in the last 30 seconds of their show are awesome!

Maybe someone with FN can let us know if the movement of the two lines moving quickly to the 50, to form the cross,(which they've done since the beginning) still has feet work out of synch. Another concern with a season long issue is the contra spacing when in the back. I'll give any corps a pass on new changes/additions, but after six weeks or so, some positions/spacing/movement of feet, hands, heads, etc. should be very close to spot on for all sections. Eighth place will probably need at least a 90.

Boston will be fine...as BRASSO will probably point out, the combined general effect captions are worth roughly 8 times what the Visual Performance caption is worth, hence a decision by the design team to invest time in mid-July in the new ending is clearly sensible. Yes, they're working on the details of the feet, but in the upcoming large venues, the GE elements take precedence.

Great work by the staff and members in another extremely competitive season!!:thumbup:

Yes great work as always by the staff. GE is a little bit down from 011. But trending better than 011. And yes they will be fine. thumbup.gifworthy.gif

for anyone who missed the oregon crusaders on fan network, I strongly suggest you go watch their performance. Yes, the guard was late and they did get a 5 pt penalty. But once they got going, they are a very entertaining corps and might surprise you. Just saying.

Some of the posts in this thread are interesting.

Some peeps are complaining about Troopers doing some new stuff and getting away from their heritage.

Others are complaining about Scouts sticking with their heritage and redoing some of their old stuff.

Wait...

What?

All captions are important to placements. Boston could help themselves with a bit better performance ( in addition to visual execution ) from their percussion line these next couple of weeks too. The Cavs are getting a good bounce in these 2 specific areas that helps them stay close to Boston.

Crown needs to get their percussion working on all cyclinders too if they want to catch the Blue Devils.

Every Corps for that matter has strength sections.. and sections that'll need to pull more of their weight... for them to advance within their competitive groupings.

I think you answered your own question.

Some like this - others like that.

We had a saying for this in the 70's - different strokes for different folks.
