Disclaimer: This is not to say that I'm not upset at what happened to the Glassmen. I have been a longtime drum corps fan, and was happy to see when they made their medal push not that long ago. I sincerely hope that they can right the ship. I believe some corps benifit from casino money.Colts come to mind but not sure.Also the Canadian Casinos I believe had to give a portion to the non-profits when their bingos were negatively impacted.That included fire depts,arts group and such. But if you consider the impact that for-profit gambling has had on the non-profits abiility to raise cash through bingo, it would seem like a natural for them to give something back through a sponsorship. - - - - wishful thinking? .... probably! Over the past few years as a DCI Percussion Judge I've had the pleasure of having the best seat in the house for your performances over the summer, and I am saddened to hear of the loss of the Glassmen for 2013. I wish you the best as you reorganize and look forward to seeing you on the field in the near future! Atlanta CV All Age Corps is still in the audition process for all sections. We had the largest turn out ever for our first camp, and plan to field a full corps this season. Our percussion section just purchased all new instruments and can field up to 10 snares 5 quads 5 basses and 14 front ensemble, and feel we will do just that. We would like to field over 60+ horns as well, and are very close. We have not set anything yet, but plan to begin setting spots next weekend, and finish in February. The Horseshoe Casinos are a franchise and have little or anything to do with the cities they operate in outside of their walls.
