N.E. Brigand
Musically and even visually, I'm pretty fond of the ending. Some lovely playing and some good-looking drill (and some not so good-looking, like too much of the rest of their show). It does feel tacked on, though. BigBadMadMan
On a negative side, I've harped on it before and I just won't like it no matter what because I'm stubborn...but not a fan of all the lower leg stuff at nearly every moment. Felt like there was more skipping, knee twisting, sliding and leg kicking than actual marching. I'd be super embarrassed to have to do all that silliness they have to do now with the nonsensical leg movements. They've made drum corps less and less bad*** since the early 2000's. Drum corps don't have to be gymnasts to have that swagger. Just silly what the judging guidelines have required.

This is a design staff with huge egos who has pumped out a vastly subpar show. Not much more to say than that. The members deserved a lot more. Ironically, it seems you have a very large number of posts on the subject.
swmstom
Weedy, I'm inclined to agree with BigBag on this subject. Scouts show design is just not even in the same zip code with the upper tier corps. I was all in with the "judges aren't giving enough credit" deal until I saw the full field. And after watching it.....Scouts are WAY behind. BozzlyB
In looking at the recaps it looks like Madison scored quite a bit lower in percussion than they have been. They've been as high as around 7th in percussion.

Madcityscout
Are you saying that the Scouts are not spreading the field enough visually, or does the drill not flow as well with the music visually? Because I do believe that they cover the field as much as anybody. Now, flowing of the drill, I do agree. It does not flow well. I might get jumped for saying this. But, I will say it anyway. I think they need to play music that is more homogeneous and harmonic with less exposure and slow the drill down with a more flowing design that integrates the guard more. Sort of like Say "Blue Knights!"

NR_Ohiobando
Madison's Vis. Analysis scores are always pretty telling. 13th in Comp 8th in Achv Though it could be weirder. Phantom's GE 1 scores barely make any sense at all.
