jjeffeory
There was also a rumor around the activity, in '87, that Star paid for professional jugglers, etc. that were of drum corps age to perform in their show that summer. As you can see from my post above you, this is probably true.
soccerguy315
Don Warren writes (via Colt) in his book The Making of the Green Machine that he regretted bringing outside the corps performers to augment the show when the Cavaliers did their circus season. I hope the Blue Stars stay in house and surprise us greatly. Shrink wrapped Houdini and couch-jumping weapons tossers may not be all we seen. I agree with Cappybara that there are many, many talents that corps members have developed beyond marching, playing, and bus loading. Have you caught a Rookie Talent Night on the tour busses? Read their resumes they submit at auditions? Heard the stories of their friends who show up at shows to cheer loudly for our DCI family members? You will be amazed!!! .... not sure anyone wants to bring Rookie Talent Night to the field...
corps8294
This could be a very expensive show.
fsubone
They can ask BD how to simulate walking on a high-wire. Seems like they've included it in most of their shows since 08.

perc2100
as a parent of an accomplished juggler, I would not be surprised if certain talents are scouted to enhance the production. Get ready for that triple saber toss transitioning to a sword swallow. High wire walking, you name it. oh yeah, and midgets as mentioned. Will pass on the bearded lady and stilt walkers. It is not uncommon in the WGI world (where Tim Fairbanks, Ian Grom, and John Mapes in particular have thrived) to 'scout' out and audition of-age members with unique talents to fit a specific show design. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. Or if there are current DCI members with unique skills the design team could integrate into this show. Like Bluecoats "Tilt" last year, this broad show design has a TON of possibilities: should be fun!

Hey, that guy passing around the drink was also in Mad Max Beyond Thunder Dome. I think he was "Master" of the Master-Blaster duo. Anyway, it's the same voice.... According to IMDB, his name was Angelo Rossitto and he WAS in Mad Max (1985) and Freaks (1932)! Freaky! tesmusic
yup thanks for asking Right on, I just felt like they couldn't decide if they were doing an episode of house hunters or an emotional show based on the feeling of home. If it worked for you, swell. The hornline played well though, regardless of thoughts on design.
