Looks like Aaron Beck, Bluecoats sound design consultant known for his work in Cirque du Soleil, was working with the corps today, so we might see a change or two tomorrow in Denton!

Guys like him, and others, are one of the reasons Bluecoats are so good at electronics and their use in the outdoor arena. This new ending you guys are talking about has me excited to see what new twists they bring. I keep saying that this show is a GE monster, but they probably will not get full credit for that until some things clean up. Once this show is squeaky clean, I think it has a chance for Gold. Top 3 for sure.

Their show is genius and never boring, the battery execution is exquisite as is the entire corps. Music leaves you wanting more as if there is a story to tell. Bravo to all involved. Cant wait for Finals, should be a close race! GO BLOOO! :wow:

I would really really love a detailed description of the closer changes if anyone wants to explain

They now end by backing into a front along with the spheres after a sprint through some high velocity multi-circles into single sine wave into lines then pods drill (while the music has the front ensemble playing fast as the horns hit stabs along with sound fx) - some of the guard comes flipping over the top bars of the spheres as they roll forward on the last chord - sound dissolves to static and corps hits their frozen running pose at the end. I like it. I think it will be tweaked, especially with the sound design, but I think it's much more effective than before.

do they still freeze in that pose? and look at the crowd?

All the way until where the split off to make those arcs. They moved around quite a bit and music felt largely the same save for last note being closer to front and they ended with same white noise and ending pose. Nobody head banging at the end, just a guard member doing the same pose the opposite way towards the corps. The end.

The horn line is starting to sound better

My heart melted when they sang the IV I resolution at the end of the ballad. What a great moment.

I'm not sure if I like the change in the closer or not. I was so happy when the changed ending started on the webcast tonight but at the very end I just felt like something was still missing... Maybe it was the poor sound quality. But I am going to be at the San antonio show on Saturday so maybe it will have more effect on me then.
