SFZFAN
Extra chance to give a performance, judge feedback and appearance fees? That makes entirely too much sense for DCPland.
corpsband
#breaktheDCP ?? shouldnt that just be #breakDCP What's with the "the" in the middle?
xandandl
Scattered thunderstorms throughout the day continuing into show-time hours. Temps around 81 feel like 88 due to humidity. Hope they can get it in.

xandandl
Why are the Cadets even at this show anyway? There's no competition, and this time could be spent on rehearsing. 3 reasons: - they compete against their best selves and contest gives opportunity to to make available new changes from Broken Arrow; the show becomes a lab. - contest is along the route to Chattanooga and Nashville where corps will practice for Murfreesboro and Atlanta - Cadets have a long habit of doing plus 30 even to 40 contests per season to widen their brand recognition, deepen the activity, and assist show sponsors/audience. From such audiences and families come future members, benefactors, and volunteers. Edited July 23, 2015 by xandandl

This is the way the entire first month of the season used to be in the mid to late 90s. This was the lineup almost every night until late July. Keep in mind that Crown in those days was barely making finals most years: Cadets Crossmen Crown Magic Boston Tarheel Sun/East Coast Jazz/Patriots, etc.
